Synamedia Appoints Dr Tzvi Gerstl as CEO as Company Enters Next Phase of Growth
Synamedia appointed Dr Tzvi Gerstl as Chief Executive Officer on July 1, 2026, succeeding Paul Segre, who becomes Executive Chairman after six years in the role. The leadership change follows Synamedia's recent divestiture of its Video Network business and marks the start of a new phase focused on helping operators and media companies grow audiences and monetise video experiences.
Gerstl previously served as General Manager of Media Cloud Technology at Synamedia, where he oversaw customer wins including BFBS, MTN, Mileto Tecnologia, Partner Communications and YES, and led the launch of GO Shorts and the Senza Ignite platform. "The future of video will be shaped by those who can attract audiences, monetise effectively, and simplify operations," Gerstl said, while Segre credited him with deep knowledge of the company's customers, technology and business.
