Torque Video Systems Activates Konnect Media Gateway with Live QoS Support at IBC 2025

Torque Video Systems announced on September 12, 2025 the activation of its Konnect Media Gateway, integrated with the company's Pelican Transcoder to provide real-time quality-of-service monitoring for live transcoding operations. Unveiled at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, the Konnect unit routes multiple incoming feeds to IP destinations including UDP, SRT Caller and SRT Listener, while the Pelican Transcoder delivers live-to-live and file-to-file encoding across hundreds of simultaneous streams.

The release also introduced LiveMon, a new dashboard that monitors input stream interruptions, incoming and outgoing bit rates, SRT connection status, and the health of Pelican's built-in HLS/MPEG-DASH origin server. Danny Wilson, Torque's Founder and CEO, said Konnect "was purposefully conceptualized and built to fulfil our customers' requirements to take a terrestrial or satellite feed and directly forward it to SRT or UDP," adding that LiveMon was new for IBC. The combined solution was demonstrated on Torque's stand, 1B08, through the close of the show on September 15.
