TVU Networks' Cloud Transport Powers CazéTV's Record-Setting World Cup Coverage on YouTube
TVU Networks announced in June 2026 that its cloud-based transport technology underpinned CazéTV's coverage of all 104 FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, streamed free on YouTube as the first Brazilian World Cup broadcast delivered entirely through a digital platform without a paywall. The operation was coordinated across teams in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Brazil and Portugal, using 12 portable TVU transmitters for the Brazilian feed and three more for Portuguese-language coverage.
Coverage of Brazil's match against Haiti drew 16.1 million concurrent connected devices, a new global record for YouTube, while 74 million unique devices accessed CazéTV during the tournament's opening week. "This project shows how internet and cloud-based video transport can support a large-scale sports operation," said Eduardo Mune, TVU Networks' Sales Director.
